President Barzani Receives a Joint U.S. and Iraqi Delegation | |
Salahadin, Erbil, Kurdistan Region of Iraq, ( President Masoud Barzani received a delegation which included a number of security and diplomacy officials from Baghdad and the United States including Mr. Falih al-Fayadh, the Iraqi National Security Adviser and Mr. Brett McGurk, President Obama's Envoy for the Global Coalition to Counter the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. President Barzani was accompanied by a number of military and security officials from the Kurdistan Region including Masrour Barzani, the Chancellor of the Kurdistan Region Security Forces.

President Barzani began by expressing his praises to the Iraqi forces who had completed the liberation of the town of Fallujah from the terrorists of the Islamic State and stated that that was a major drawback for the terrorists. President Barzani and Mr. McGurk and Mr. al-Fayadh spoke of other recent and upcoming military operations against the terrorists in both Iraq and Syria.

The attendees spoke of the Mosul operation and how that military operation will heavily weaken the terrorists both morally and militarily. President Barzani reiterated his stance of also being fully prepared for the post liberation management of the city and how no component of the Mosul mosaic can be excluded from the governing affairs of the city.
